Mount Morris Dam, NY is a "dry dam" located in the scenic Genesee River Gorge next to Letchworth State Park. The main purpose is to provide flood control to downstream areas, which include the City of Rochester. The exhibits and a short video convey information about the history, purpose and operations of Mount Morris Dam. Other exhibits emphasize the dam's natural, recreational, archeological, and cultural resources.
