Cooking Instructions

Step 1 To prepare the sushi rice: Stir the appropriate amount of sushi vinegar into the warm cooked rice. Let cool..
Step 2 Put a sheet of plastic wrap on a sushi mat. Spread on a layer of rice, lay the seaweed on top. On top of the seaweed, arrange the salad leaves, imitation crab meat, and cucumber. Roll it up while pressing the ingredients inside. (The rice should be on the outside of the roll.).
Step 3 Sprinkle sesame seeds over the rice, cut into desired sizes, and you're all done..

This is a very good basic recipe. I make my sushi a little bit differently though. First I do not use any mayo with my crab – I like the flavour on its own.. Roll up rice mixture over filling, using the bamboo mat to lift and compress the mixture while rolling; remove plastic wrap as you roll. Remove mat; roll sushi rolls in sesame seeds.
